Cargill’s worldwide malt sales are managed from Belgium. Our French operations were established in 1979, and our malt product range today includes pilsner, lager, ale, diastatic, pale, peated, Vienna and Munich malt plus a wide selection of specialty malts. Our malt plant in Strasbourg processes barley into quality malt for regional and national brewers. From this plant, the malt is marketed to local European brewers and distillers and is also exported to Asia, Africa and Latin America.
Cargill’s Strasbourg malt plant and its Belgium-based customer service team were the world's first malting operation to receive ISO 9001 quality certification, awarded by Det Norske Vertias in February 1994.
