Grain and oilseeds trading

Cargill imports, exports and processes grain (wheat, corn, barley) and oilseeds (sunflower, rapeseed, soy).

Cargill’s customers within this sector are:

  • The food, feed and biodiesel industries, distributors and producers of biodiesel, from vegetable oil produced from oilseed processing.
  • Farmers and manufacturers of blended foods from vegetable proteins for animal nutrition.
  • European food processing businesses (manufacturers of dry milled products) for imported grains and unprocessed grains.

Grains, oilseed and non-grain food ingredients (NGFI) used to produce animal feed, are imported through ports at Montoir, Bordeaux, Sète, Lorient, Brest and Le Havre to respond to the needs of the French animal feed industrial manufacturers. Business activities are coordinated from St Germain-en-Laye. Milling, extraction activities and importing products are coordinated from St Nazaire.
